何がしかのことを成し遂げると、愚か者はすぐに、 「ねぇ、私は、こんなことをしたんだよ」と言い、

「尊敬されたい」

「他人をペコペコさせたい」

「チヤホヤしてもらいたい」

と、物欲しさと浅ましさをむき出しにする。

「みんなに私のしたことをわかってほしい」

「みんなに私の言うとおりにしてほしい」

こんな幼稚な物欲しさにまみれつつ、 愚か者の欲望と傲慢さは ぶくぶくと肥え太ってゆくだろう。

法句経73・74

承認欲求を満たせずに育った子どもたち。そのまま大人になった人たち。

彼らはさみしい人である。

社会に出ると周囲には全力で肯定してくれる人たちは居ない。

彼らが承認欲求の強い人物を全力で認めることは、彼ら自身の自尊心を損ねるからだ。

逆を言えば、相手を承認する人たちは周囲からも「多少は」承認してもらえる。

承認してほしい方も、承認する方も、結局自分が一番可愛いものあのである。

そんな中で他者の才能や実績を自分のことのように喜び応援できる人物は、マネージメント業をすれば大成する人物と言える。

他者の能力を自分の方向性へ役立て、更に他者の能力を引き出し良い面を広げていく能力を身につければ双方にとって良い。

When a fool accomplishes something, he immediately says, “Hey, this is what I did,” and reveals his greed and shamelessness.

“I want to be respected,”

“I want others to bow down to me,”

“I want to be pampered,”

“I want everyone to understand what I’ve done,”

“I want everyone to do as I say,”

Covered in such childish greed, the fool’s desires and arrogance will continue to grow and grow.

Dhammapada 73-74

Children who grow up without having their need for recognition fulfilled. They become adults with that feeling.

They are lonely people.

When they enter society, there are no people around them who will wholeheartedly affirm them.

This is because if they wholeheartedly acknowledge those who have a strong need for recognition, it would damage their own self-esteem.

Conversely, people who acknowledge others will be acknowledged “to some extent” by those around them.

In the end, both the person who wants recognition and the person who gives recognition both love themselves the most.

In that environment, people who can cheer on and enjoy the talents and achievements of others as if they were their own can be said to be successful in management work.

It is beneficial for both parties to use the abilities of others to advance your own direction and to acquire the ability to bring out the abilities of others and spread their positive aspects.
